MA Firearms Safety Course
The MA Firearms Safety Course (MA State Police Certified LTC-007) we provide is a four hour block of instruction designed to give you the basic overview of the safe handling of firearms. This course is lecture based and students will be given hands on instruction that covers the safe handling and operation of today’s commonly owned firearms. Students will be shown how to handle, load, and unload rifles, shotguns, semi-automatic pistols, and single/double action revolvers in a safe manner. On completion of the course you will be issued a certificate of completion that certifies that you have completed the MA Firearms Safety Course and are eligible to apply for your Massachusetts LTC Class A, LTC Class B, or FID card.
This is a great course for someone who has firearms experience but needs their Massachusetts Firearms License or for those who run a tight schedule and cannot attend a full day course like the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course that we offer. These classes are normally held at the North Attleboro Elks Lodge, but we do occasionally offer them in various locations to better suit the needs of our clients. The MA Firearms Safety Course is also valid for non-residents of Massachusetts who wish to apply for their Non-Resident MA firearms license.
Private classes are available and a portion of the proceeds of all classes will be donated to the American Sniper’s Foundation or the Special Operations Warriors Foundation in support of those who fight for our freedom. We are forever indebted to these great men for their sacrifices.
Total cost of training: $90 ($50 for active duty military with valid ID)
As a courtesy to those who attend this class, we will also offer a 20% discount on your first two hours of private shooting lessons with our instructor staff. During these lessons you will be given the opportunity to shoot several of our firearms.
Fine print for lessons: Minimum of 2 hours booked, normally $50/hr. Cost of ammunition is separate and subject to market price.
All of our instructors have decades of military and law enforcement experience and are Massachusetts State Police Certified to conduct Basic Firearms Safety Courses for the purposes of licensing.
